The 150 MW Hydro Power Development in Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh is located in challenging mountainous terrain with severe climatic conditions. Construction activities are particularly demanding due to the isolated setting and extreme winter temperatures dropping to -15°C.

Despite these hurdles, RHPPL (Rathi Hydro Project Pvt. Limited), the entity overseeing the construction of the Reservoir and HRT, is achieving substantial progress. The venture includes building a reservoir (2,65,000 cum capacity), headrace tunnel (HRT) 2,246.45 mtr, access roads, bridges, leak-proof flooring panels, control room building, and other associated infrastructure. RHPPL has successfully navigated the terrain and weather challenges through meticulous planning, advanced engineering methods, and specialized equipment.
